Charleston’s newest “Low Country” community, Daniel Island is located three miles north of Charleston Harbor between the Cooper and Wando rivers. The Island lies at the easternmost tip of Berkeley County and was recently annexed by the city of Charleston. Daniel Island is a 4,000-acre master-planned community that will eventually include nearly 7,000 homes, more than 400 acres of parks, a championship golf course, a $9 million world-class tennis center, its own schools and other amenities. Real estate options consist of condominiums, single-family homes, estate properties, and land for custom building. The community features traditional neighborhoods with sidewalks and street lamps. Some of the neighborhoods have their own amenities such as pools and playgrounds or may even be gated.
